Smoking and weight gain

September 1st, 2009

So many people are scared to quit smoking because of the dreaded weight loss that is said to accompany quitting the habit. But, did you know that smoking does not affect your metabolism. The only thing is does serve as a fixation orally. Because of that reason is why people tend to eat more when they quit smoking and then put on the pounds. The solution is making exercise your new addiction. When you exercise your body releases endorphin and serotonin, which will make you feel great and help you overcome the need to smoke.

Smoking is not only a bad habit for your body it is expensive, when you quit you can take all that extra money and treat yourself to a spa day or a pair of new shoes. If you still feel the crave and its killing you put something in your mouth that’s not too bad for your such as gum or a sucker. Keep a stash where ever you go and when the craving hits grab a treat or another great snack is a mint. Mints are great ways to stop that craving to have something in your mouth. Just remember it’s either quit or die trying.
